Obituary of Sybil Alexander

Sybil Alexander, 99, of Peabody, died Sunday evening at the Greenwood Nursing Home in Wakefield with her family by her side following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert C Alexander. Born in Gateshead, England, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie (Bruce) Stevens. She was raised and educated in England, later lived in Scotland and has spent the last 31 years living in Peabody. While living in Scotland she was employed as sales manager for an Electrical Wholesaler. She is survived by her two daughters, Sybil Henry of Lynn and Carol Brunton of Peabody and by her beloved 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody and following cremation, her Funeral will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Summer St, Lynnfield to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial services will be held later in June. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to a charity of one’s choice.
