Obituary of Charles J. Antoniello
Charles J. Antoniello, 80, of Swampscott, died Sunday evening at the Grosvenor Nursing Home in Salem following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Theresa (Brzezicki) Antoniello with whom he shared over 54 years of marriage. Born in Swampscott, he was the son of the late Mathew and Mary (Fiore) Antoniello. He was a lifelong resident of Swampscott and a graduate of Swampscott High School, class of 1955. Charles was employed as a machinist for over 30 years at the General Electric River Plant in Lynn until his retirement many years ago. He enjoyed spending time outdoors in the garden, but his favorite endeavor was spending time with his family and later his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his son, Scott Antoniello of Swampscott, his daughter, Kim Antoniello of Haverhill, his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony and Nancy Antoniello of Scituate, and Mathew and Marylinda Antoniello of Peabody, his sisters and brothers-in-law, Carmela and Kenn Gonka of NC, Christine and Paul Tardiff of NH,, and Nina and Kenneth Walsh of NC, his sister-in-law, Judy Antoniello of ME, and is also survived by two grandchildren, Linzy Lynch and Douglas Jellison, JR and by two great grandchildren, Nathan Lynch, JR and Douglas Jellison III and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Victor Antoniello and Constance “Connie” Antoniello His funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until. 8:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
