Obituary of Elsie M. (Cate) Crosby

Elsie M. (Cate) Crosby, beloved wife of the late John Jack Crosby, died on Wednesday evening at the Jewish Rehabilitation Center in Swampscott following a brief illness. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mabelle Cate. She lived in Lynn in her youth and attended Lynn schools, and was a graduate of Lynn English High School. She later lived in Salem for many years before moving to Peabody and has spent the last couple of years living in Swampscott. Besides being a homemaker, Mrs. Crosby worked as a Waitress at the Century House Restaurant in Peabody, and as a Dental Hygienist for Dr. Keach in Salem. She is survived by a two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert & Deborah Crosby of Marblehead and Daniel Crosby of Beverly; a daughter-in-law, Janice Crosby of Amesbury, 10 grandchildren, Kevin Crosby, Scott Crosby, Chris Crosby and Erin Mac Callum all of Marblehead, Lyn Crosby and Heather Crosby of Sandown, NH and Portland, ME, Deborah Crosby and John Crosby of Swampscott and Tampa, FL, Edward Crosby and Michael Crosby of Everett, and she leaves several great-grandchildren, and a niece Joan & Don McKeen of Salem. She was preceded in death by her son Raymond Crosby. Her Funeral will be held on Monday at 9:30 A.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St. Peabody location. Relatives and friends are also invited to the visitation starting at 9:00 AM Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn
