Obituary of James Sacco

James Sacco, 67, of Peabody and formerly of Somerville, died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon at his home. He was the devoted husband of Elaine (Bernstein) Sacco with whom he shared over 46 years of marriage. Born in Somerville, he was the son of the late Antonio and Anna (Losciuto) Sacco. He raised and educated in Somerville, later lived in Revere, and has spent the last 42 years living in Peabody. For over 35 years he was known as Jim the tile man who worked throughout the North Shore doing ceramic tile. He also was the owner of Sacco’ s Garage on Lynn St in Peabody for over 28 years. He enjoyed restoring and riding in antique cars and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He enjoyed boating and for seven years he would winter in North Carolina with his boat. He also was a member of the Danvers Fishing and Game Club and enjoyed skeet shooting. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Randy and Patricia Sacco of Danvers, and James Sacco of Ormond Beach, Florida, a brother, Angelo Sacco of Somerville, six grandchildren, Jennifer, Randy Jr., James Jr., Corey, Jillian, and Brandon Sacco, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Stephen and Dottie Bernstein of Saugus, his family cat, Shana as well as several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 LYNN STREET, Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Ann’ s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody
