Obituary of Gary R. Vieira
Gary R. Vieira, 65 PEABODY – Gary R. Vieira, 65, died unexpectedly after taking ill at home on Tuesday March 27, 2018. Born in Salem, he was the son of Mary (Bertoldi) Vieira of Peabody and the late Edward D. Vieira. He graduated from St. Peter’s High School in Gloucester, and was a longtime resident of Peabody. He continued his education as he graduated from Bentley College, then earned a Master’s degree from Northeastern University. He applied a gifted intelligence in the medical field until he experienced health-related issues which led to an early retirement. He is survived by his mother Mary (Bertoldi) Vieira of Peabody; two nieces and a nephew, Jennifer Hoeger & her husband Nick of Iowa, Elizabeth Singh & her husband Yatesh of Minnesota, and Michael Vieira of Minnesota; a grandnephew James Nicholas Hoeger; several cousins including Louis Ciman, Eileen Ciman, and Lucille Tighe all of Peabody, and Eleanor & Pat Catalano of Cotuit. He was brother of the late Richard Vieira and nephew of late Elsie Moynahan. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Wednesday April 4, 2018 from 11 AM to 12 Noon, followed by a Funeral Service at 12 Noon at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
