Obituary of Anthony J. "Tony" Pimental
Anthony J. “Tony” Pimental, 88, of Lynnfield, husband of Elaine (Bokron) Pimental, passed away at the Ledgewood Rehabilitation Center in Beverly on April 2, 2018 with his loving family at his side. Anthony was born in Somerville on November 22, 1929 son of Anthony F. and Josephine (Parmeggiani) Pimental. Raised and educated in Somerville he graduated from Somerville High School in 1947. He then attended the Bentley School of Business and received his Accounting Degree in Business. In 1951, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Corporal attached to the Army Audit Agency until being honorably discharged in 1953. He then pursued his education at Northeastern University and received a Master’s in Accounting. Anthony’s working career as a certified public accountant spanned over 38 years as the comptroller at the Stahl Finish Company in Peabody, a position he held until his retirement in 1990. He was an avid bowler, golfer and was a member of the Thompson C.C. in No. Reading, and the Kernwood C.C. in Salem, the Salem YMCA, the Rotary Club in Peabody and also held seasons tickets for the Boston Bruins. On a regular basis he was a blood donor at the Peabody Red Cross. In addition to his wife Elaine with whom he shared 43 years of marriage he is survived by his children and their spouses, Nancy E. and Ted Moore of Boxford, Paula J. Bdiwi of Lynn, and Mark A. and Cynthia Pimental of CO; a brother, Robert Pimental and his wife Debra of Middleton, and his former wife Theresa (Holland) Downey of Beverly. His family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, April 6th from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn St., Peabody which will be followed by a service at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. The family requested that memorial contributions be made to National Kidney Foundation, www.kidney.org , or to Lahey Health at Home Hospice www.Lahey.org/philanthropy .
