Obituary of Joseph Grigonis Jr.

Joseph Grigonis Jr., 70, of Salem died Friday at the Salem Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Peabody, Ma on June 30, 1935, the son of the late Joseph M. and Anna (Petkevitch) Grigonis and had resided in the North Shore area all his life. He had been employed with the Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industry in the Salem store for many years prior to his retirement. He is survived by two sisters, Eleanor Cronin of Mashpee, MA and Adele Keller of Danvers, a niece, Tina Lewis of Somerville and a grand nephew, Brad Lewis of Worcester, his companions at his group home residence, Michael, John and Lucien and the house director, John Morley all of Salem . He was the brother of the late John Petkevitch and Alfonso Grigonis. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. His funeral will be held on Wednesday from the Funeral Home at 10:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary’ s Cemetery,Salem.
