Obituary of Alda M. (Correia) Falzarano
Alda M. (Correia) Falzarano, 98 LYNNFIELD – Alda M. (Correia) Falzarano, 98, beloved wife of the late Joseph Falzarano, Sr., died peacefully on Wednesday evening April 11, 2018 at the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Jordan and Josephine (Vieira) Correia. She grew up in East Boston where she attended schools. Later she lived in Winthrop and many years in Lynnfield. Alda enjoyed crochet and made many blankets. She was most passionate about her family, having Sunday dinners, making Portuguese soup and cooking Italian or American dishes, and was very meticulous about her housekeeping. She attended Out Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield, and was a longtime devoted and faithful woman as she prayed the Rosary daily and was devoted to St. Anne de Beaupre. She had a strong, independent spirit reflected while listening to music she loved like “My Way” by Frank Sinatra. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. Her family was grateful to live with five generations, and is survived by a son and two daughters, Marie Dion and her husband Raymond of Lynnfield, Joseph Falzarano and his wife Sandra of Peabody, and Diane Olson and her husband Jon of Winthrop; 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves a brother Joseph Correia of Wakefield, two sisters Alice Bernasconi of Quincy and Josephine Grillo of Winthrop, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jordan Correia, Manuel Correia, and Antonio Correia. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Tuesday April 17, 2018 at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lynnfield. A visitation will be held on Monday from 5 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Memorial donations may be made to the MGH North Shore Cancer Center, 102 Endicott St., Danvers, MA 01923.
