Obituary of David M. Smith

David M. Smith, 44 years, of Beverly died Monday at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a brief illness. Mr. Smith was born on January 15, 1962 in Lynn son of the late Thomas R. and Antoinette R. (Martello) Smith. He was raised and educated in Lynn and resided in Lynn for most his life. Before moving to Beverly 3 years ago he lived in Danvers for a couple years. Mr. Smith was employed for the past 5 years as a night shelf stocker at Stop & Shop at the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers. Previously he was employed as a handyman on the North Shore for many years. He devoted most of his spare time to his children whom he cherished unconditionally. As hobbies he was a sports enthusiast and also enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife Catherine Kitty (Zion) Smith of Lynn, his loving children David Zion Smith, Jason Zion Smith, Dylan Zion Smith and April Primataras all of Lynn; his siblings and their spouses, Thomas R. Bea Smith Jr., Sherry A. and Richard Grace all of Peabody, Marie Joyce and Tony Tridenti of Methuen, Melody and Bruce Hanson of Bowdoinham ME, Dawn Allain and Sharon and Andy Preece all of Danvers; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. His brother Salvatore A. Frasca Jr. pre deceased him. Relatives and friends may pay their respects Thursday June 1, 2006 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody location. A service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Cremation will follow on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, C/O Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers MA 01923.
