Obituary of Gary J. Feilteau

Gary J. Feilteau, 67 LYNN – Gary J. Feilteau, 67, beloved husband of Donna (Turmel) Feilteau, died peacefully on Sunday evening April 22, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, while in the comforting presence of his family, following a three and a half year fight with cancer. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late George W. and Raebourne (Sands) Feilteau. He grew up in Lynn, and graduated from Lynn Trade. He lived in Peabody for many years, and moved back to Lynn for the last two decades. Gary worked as a Machinist with General Electric in Lynn for a 41 year career. Gary enjoyed being outside in nature, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. His strongest passion was his devotion to family, especially his grandchildren, and his many childhood and hunting friends. He will be dearly missed by those who had the pleasure of meeting or knowing him. He is survived by his wife, Donna (Turmel) Feilteau of Lynn, with whom he shared 20 years together, eight in marriage; his son Jeffrey Feilteau of Peabody, his daughter Lindsay Richesin and her husband James of Acton, ME; a step-son Shaun Getchell and his wife Tamara of Lynnfield; five grandchildren, Zachary, Gavin, Madison, Sophia, and Hannah; a sister Dorina Melanson of Phoenix, AZ; a sister-in-law Sue (Lowry) Feilteau, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death, besides his parents, by his sister Lillian Feilteau and brother George Feilteau. Following cremation, relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Saturday April 28, 2018 for a visitation from 1:30 to 3 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 3 PM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
