Obituary of Elizabeth M. (Sullivan) (Bronstad) Fisher
Elizabeth M (Sullivan) (Bronstad) Fisher, 85, of Largo, FL and Peabody, died Monday at the Morton Plant Hospital in Florida following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Capt. Thomas D Fisher, US Coast Guard (ret) with whom she shared 40 years of marriage. Born in Winthrop, she was the daughter of the late Raymond J. and Gertrude J. (Phillips) Sullivan. She was raised and educated in Winthrop, later lived in Lynnfield and has spent the last 12 years living in Peabody. Elizabeth began her working career at General Electric in the Quality Control department and upon her transfer from that position, she continued to work as a Quality Assurance Auditor in the Aerospace Products Division in Wilmington. After General Electric, she worked as a Call Director at Orthopedic Surgery, Inc., at One City Hall Plaza in Melrose before finally retiring. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed wintering in Florida and was very active with Elks Lodge in Largo, FL and was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary in Madeira Beach, Fl. Her favorite endeavor though, was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and sharing in all of their activities. She will be dearly missed by all. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her son, Lyle Bronstad of Beverly, her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Harry Eisner of Walpole, her step-daughter, LaChelle Pettit of Ojai, CA, her two brothers, John “Jack” Sullivan of Nahua, NH and Robert Sullivan of Wenham, her beloved six grandchildren, Rebekah and Zackary Eisner, and Alouette, Evangeline, Eowyn, and Ireland Pettit. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Senior Chief Lyle H. Bronstad, US Navy and by her three brothers, Richard, Paul, and Michael Sullivan. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 2nd at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Lynnfield to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery, Lynnfield.
