Obituary of Timothy "Tim" P. Goujon

Timothy P. “Tim” Goujon, 65 DANVERS – Timothy P. “Tim” Goujon, 65, beloved husband of Leann (Osgood) Goujon, died unexpectedly yet peacefully on Friday May 11, 2018 at the Lahey Medical Center Hospital, following a brief illness. Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late Antoine and Sarah (Major) Goujon. He grew up in Methuen where he graduated from Tenney High School. After retirement he continued his education and was a candidate to receive an Associate’s Degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling from North Shore Community College next Fall. He lived in Salem, NH many years and the last few years in Danvers. Mr. Goujon enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and was stationed in Korea. He worked at Malden Mills, which later merged with Polartec, for a 40-year career. After retiring, he had an Internship with the Tewksbury Hospital Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center. Tim enjoyed Thoroughbred Horse Racing. His love of horses started when he was a young boy working at Rockingham and at Suffolk Downs. He enjoyed gaming and visiting casinos, was an avid sports fan, going to country music concerts, and going to Old Orchard Beach. He was most passionate about spending time with his family, and watching his nephews or grandchildren’s various events. He will be dearly missed and remembered for his genuine, compassionate and giving spirit. He is survived by his wife Leann (Osgood) Goujon of Danvers, with whom he shared almost 14 years of marriage; three daughters and a step-daughter, Karen Belair of Auburn, NH, Tina Kaylor of Manchester, NH, Sarah Goujon of Londonderry, NH, and Cassandra Osgood of Danvers; four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, Robert Kaylor, Haley Goujon, Amber Reid and Zackary Reid, then Joshua Osgood and Kace Mason; eight siblings, Barbara Keane of Windham, NH and her late twin sister Clara Derepentigny, Henry Goujon of Australia, Antoinette Alexander “Toni” of Florida, Simon Goujon of Florida, Mark Goujon of Methuen, Bessie Arsenault of Maine, Michael Goujon of Methuen, and James Goujon of Methuen; his father-in-law Herbert Osgood of Danvers; a sister-in-law Robin Schweizer, and many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Jackson. Following cremation, relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a Celebration of His Life on Tuesday May 22, 2018 from 5:30 – 9:30 P.M. at the Castleton Banquet & Conference Center, 58 Enterprise Drive, Windham, NH, starting with a Ceremony at 5:30 concluding with Military Honors at 6 PM, and casual stories, refreshments and social until closing at 9:30.
