Obituary of Susan Ellen McGrath

Susan Ellen McGrath, 74, of Peabody, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening at Salem Hospital. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late William Walker and Dorothy (Knowles) Chenard. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School. Susan was employed for many years at various retail sales store throughout the North Shore and most recently at Walmart before her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved having many pets, especially her cat Kiki. She is survived by her son, Scott and his wife Stacey Mallard of TN, her three daughters, Kim and her husband Mitch Michaud of NM, Kerry and her husband Gene Valcourt of Bradford and Lynne and her husband David Ryder of Peabody, her brother, Robert Bruce Walker of PA and by 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard and William Walker. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM followed by her Funeral Service at 12:30 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial services will be private.
