Obituary of Sidalia L. Teixeira

Sidalia L. Teixeira, 86 PEABODY – Sidalia L. Teixeira, 86, beloved wife of Armando Teixeira, died peacefully at her home on Friday May 18, 2018, while in the comforting presence of her family, following an extended illness. Born in Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Lourenco and Maria Trindade Lourenco. She grew up in Portugal and came to the United States with her family, settling in Peabody where she lived for the last 52 years. She became a United States Citizen in 1971. Mrs. Teixeira worked in manufacturing for RCA and Cambex Corporation in Waltham before retiring 20 years ago. Sidalia enjoyed being outdoors gardening, doing crochet, traveling, and nurturing at home by cleaning and cooking. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and friend. She is survived by her husband Armando Teixeira of Peabody, with whom she shared over 62 years of marriage; a son and daughter-in-law, Armando L. and Michelle Teixeira of Peabody, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Maria Trindade Lourenco, Nativade Lourenco Marques, and Ilda Lourenco Delgado. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for her Funeral Service on Monday May 21, 2018 at 10 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 – 5 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
