Obituary of Joanne (Kanarellis) Saccone

JoAnne (Kanarellis) Saccone, 60 MOORESVILLE, NC – JoAnne (Kanarellis) Saccone, 60, beloved wife of David F. Saccone, died peacefully at her home on Thursday May 17, 2018, while in the comforting presence of her family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of Thomas Kanarellis and the late Georgia (Patsiaris) Kanarellis. She grew up in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1976. She later graduated from Salem State College. Mrs. Saccone enjoyed her career in healthcare management both in the Greater Peabody area and in Mooresville, NC. She was dedicated to her profession and to helping people in their homes. JoAnne enjoyed cooking, especially honoring the Greek traditional meals, and hosting many gatherings of family and friends. She will be dearly missed by those she met, and remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter and friend. She is survived by her husband David F. Saccone, with whom she shared nearly 20 years of marriage, a daughter Nicole Saccone, and her father Thomas Kanarellis all of Mooresville, NC; a brother Michael Kanarellis of Houston, TX, and several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as many good friends. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather at the church on Thursday May 24, 2018 for a Funeral Service at 10 AM in St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:30 – 8:30 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
