Obituary of Eileen M. (Noone) Bresnahan

Eileen M. (Noone) Bresnahan, 60 PEABODY – Eileen M. (Noone) Bresnahan, 60, beloved wife of Jeffrey Bresnahan, died peacefully on Friday May 18, 2018 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center Hospital in Burlington, following a very brief illness. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Norma (Gandolfo) Noone. She grew up in Peabody where she lived most of her life, and graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1975. Mrs. Bresnahan was very dedicated to her work, taking pride with her 33-year career as the Director of Transportation for the City of Peabody Public Schools, for which she had a sense of satisfaction. Eileen enjoyed being outdoors tending to her gardening, growing flowers, tomatoes and vegetables and carried on the family tradition of making piccalilly. She also enjoyed traveling on vacation to Key Largo. She was most passionate about her family, and very dedicated to her children and grandchildren, as well as taking that passion to see how many thousands of school children arrived safely to school and back. She is survived by her husband Jeffrey Bresnahan of Peabody, with whom she shared 16 years of marriage; one son, two daughters and two step-children, Amy Taylor and her husband Jim of Peabody, Emily Adams and her husband John DePlacido of Raymond, NH, James Adams, Jr of Peabody, Jason Bresnahan and his wife Kristin of Peabody, and Amanda Beattie and her husband Douglas of Peabody; two grandchildren and three step-grandchildren, James Taylor and Shelbie Adams Coviello, Carolyn Bresnahan, Kate Bresnahan, Leah Bresnahan, and Alexis Beattie all of Peabody; a brother Stephen Noone of Peabody; two sisters, Anne Adams of South Burlington, VT and Claire Church of Peabody; an uncle Ralph Gandolfo, his wife Ann of Peabody, a cousin Lori Gandolfo of Peabody, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for her Funeral Service on Wednesday May 23, 2018 at 11 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Cremation will follow the Service. Memorial donations may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215.
