Obituary of Joan E. (Robinson) Norman

Joan E (Robinson) Norman, 78, of Peabody and formerly of Salem, died unexpectedly on Sunday evening at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert William Norman. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Alfred M. and Eva Marie (Trembley) Robinson. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School. She has lived in Peabody for over 50 years. Joan was employed for many years at the former Ann & Hope store in Danvers before retiring years ago. She enjoyed doing arts & crafts, traveling, music and attending plays in Boston and local venues. What was of most importance to her was her family and the times she shared with them and their endeavors. Joan is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Patricia Norman and Brian and Denise Norman, all of Peabody, her two sisters, Pauline Hudon of Hillsborough NH and Thelma Martins of East Falmouth Ma and by her beloved four grandchildren, Daniel, Maynard, James, Michelle and dear friend Earl Rosen. She was predeceased by her son Daniel Norman and daughter Michelle Norman. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the DOWNTOWN location at 20 CHURCH ST. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 12:00 PM noon at St. John’s Church, Peabody. Burial will be in North Central Cemetery, Beverly.
