Obituary of Michael William Zdanowicz

Michael William Zdanowicz, 63, of Peabody died suddenly on May 30, 2018 at home. He was the husband of Carol Ann (Wynnick) Zdanowicz with whom he shared 35 years of marriage. He was born in Lynn, MA on September 13, 1954, the son of Gertrude (Kutlowski) Zdanowicz And the late Edmund Zdanowicz and has resided in Peabody most of his life. He was a Graduate of Peabody High School and became a fourth generation member of the Zdanowicz Family as a lobster fishman along with his brothers. They sailed out of Salem for many years and later out of Beverly. Michael worked for 44 years on the lobster boats Gertrude Z and Edmund Z before he disability retirement 4 years ago. He was a great outdoorsman and loved to go shooting, both target and skeet, canoeing in MA and in Maine and also hiking . He had been a life member of the NRA and was a Gentle Giant who made friends very easy. He also enjoyed doing carpentry and doing odds and ends around the house. He is survived by his wife Carol Ann, and his mother Gertrude both of Peabody, his two sons,Joseph and Michael Zdanowicz, a daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Adam Drolet all of Peabody, his two grandchildren, Audrey and Addison Drolet, his brother and sister In law, Stephan and Laura Zdanowicz of Bethleham, PA; a sister Sabina Zdanowicz of Peabody and many nieces and nephews including his godchild, Stefan Zdanowicz of Bethleham PA and Anya Zdanowicz of Philadelphia, PA. A Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. A Funeral Service will be held there on Tuesday June 5, 2018 at 11:00 A.M . Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
