Obituary of M. Eleanor (Meagher) Lincicum

M. Eleanor (Meagher) Lincicum, 79 years of Beverly, wife of the late Cecil L. Lincicum, died Friday morning at the Masconomet Healthcare Center in Topsfield after a brief illness. Mrs. Lincicum was born on June 20, 1925 in Medford daughter of the late Frederick A. and Edith M. (Golding) Meagher. She was raised and educated in Medford and Cambridge. She moved to Peabody in 1955 and later moved to Beverly where she has made her home for the past 18 years. She devoted her entire life to raising her family. Mrs. Lincicum was an avid candlepin bowler along with her numerous friends and was also the President and Captain of their bowling league at the Sunnyside Bowladrome in Danvers where they would meet 3 times a week. She enjoyed her family and traveled extensively in the United States. As hobbies she enjoyed playing Bingo at the Fairweather Apartments in Beverly, doing crossword and jig saw puzzles and reading. She is survived by 4 sons and their wives, James P. and Judy Lincicum of Deland, FL, Charles L. and Judi Lincicum of Danvers, John E. and Debbie Lincicum of Holly Spring , NC and Ronald C. and Cindy Lincicum of Cary, IL; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Donna A. Jenkins of Windham, ME and Shirley J. and Pat Sullivan of Pembroke, NH; 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Stephen Lincicum and her siblings Thomas Meagher, Lillian Meagher and Katherine Lowe. As per her request there will be no visiting hours. A family service will be held in the spring. Arrangements are by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115.
