Obituary of Phillip H. Pydynkowski
Phillip H. Pydynkowski, 71 SALEM – Phillip H. Pydynkowski, 71, beloved husband of Kathleen (Leahy) Pydynkowski, died peacefully on Monday June 4, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, while in the comforting presence of his family, following an extended illness. Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Henry and Mary L. (Munson) Pydynkowski. He grew up there, graduated from Salem High School, and was a lifelong resident of the city. He attended Salem State College for his continued education. Mr. Pydynkowski worked in sales for restaurant equipment for a period of time. He was employed as the Sales Manager with Wayne Alarm for over 20 years before retiring. Phil, known affectionately as “Pinkie”, was a passionate fan of football and the New England Patriots. He was happiest as a devoted husband, father and grandfather, brother, and friend. He supported his children growing up through their activities and soccer games, and was thrilled with his role as an awesome grandfather for his three cherished grandchildren. He was most proud of his children’s accomplishments, his daughter as a Salem Police Officer and his son as Director of Recovery Management at Gosnold. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend, dearly missed by those whose lives he touched. He is survived by his wife Kathleen (Leahy) Pydynkowski of Salem, with whom he shared over 50 years of marriage; a son and daughter, Kristopher Pydynkowski and his wife Michaela of Forest Dale, MA on Cape Cod, and Kathleen Rocheville of Salem; three cherished grandchildren, Courtney of Salem, and Hunter and Wyatt of Cape Cod; two brothers and two sisters, John Pydynkowski of Salem, David Pydynkowski of Peabody, Joanne O’Brien of Danvers, and Tracey Pydynkowski of Moultenboro, NH, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Tuesday June 12, 2018 at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Monday from 5 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
