Obituary of Susan C. (Wendell) Pierce

Susan C. (Wendell) Pierce 50, of Peabody, loving wife of Philip J. “PJ” Pierce, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Susan was born in Ipswich on July 25, 1967 daughter of the late George and Helen Trizinski Wendell. Raised in Peabody she graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School in 1985 and pursued her education at N.S. Community College and received an Associate degree as a physical therapist. She was employed for many years as a physical therapist assistant at the former Essex Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Beverly. Seventeen years ago, Susan left the work force to create a home for her daughter and family. She also enjoyed decorating for all holidays, loved gardening, cooking, and her pets, including her Doberman Pinscher Tyson, several cats, fish tanks and koi pond. In addition to her husband with whom she celebrated 25 years of marriage, she is survived by her cherished daughter, Stephanie L. Pierce of Peabody, her siblings, Diane Redmond and her husband Glen, Stacy Gallagher and Kenny Eliuk, all of Peabody, and Dwayne Wendell of VT; her in-laws Sandra Pierce and the late Philip J. Pierce SR., her sister and brother in-law, Colleen and Chris Legere, and sister-in-law Kelley Cohen all of Peabody; many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, June 18th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 19th at 10 a.m. from the funeral home followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody.
