Obituary of Diane Catherine Azzoto

Diane Catherine (Corrao) Azzoto, 67, of Danvers, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with her family by her side after a sudden and brief illness. Diane was born in Medford, MA on March 5, 1951, the beloved daughter of Josephine and the late Frank Corrao. Diane was raised in Medford and was currently residing in Danvers. Diane worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston for over 10 years prior to her retirement. She had a passion for life, loved animals, music, dancing, vacationing, cooking and most of all spending quality time nurturing her family. Her love for animals and her generous heart led her to the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem where she volunteered. An amazing mother, daughter, sister and most of all Grammy, who spoiled her children and granddaughters with love, generosity and ALL her time. She was a strong and proud woman and was our biggest cheerleader. She will be missed by so many family and friends that will never forget how infectious her feisty and humorous, yet gentle personality would fill a room. She is survived by her mother, Josephine Corrao of Peabody, her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Kristen and Christopher Gerardi of Bedford, NH, her adored son Michael Ridlon of Lowell, MA, a sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and Bob Peluso of Surprise, AZ, a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Kelley Corrao of Thornton, NH, her nieces and nephews and her precious granddaughters, Avery and Olivia Gerardi. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 21,2018 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her Funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM at the funeral home followed by Mass in St. Richard Church, Forest St, Danvers at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
