Obituary of Victor Enrique Manon

Victor Enrique Manon, 54 LYNN – Victor Enrique Mañón, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday June 16, 2018. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him. Victor is survived by his mother, his 8 siblings, 6 in-laws, 21 nephews and nieces, 15 great-nephews and nieces, and countless aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his father. Victor was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on November 19, 1963 to Mirtha Victoria Mañón and Pedro Enrique Mañón. He moved to Salem in 1975, where he attended school and graduated from Salem High School, Class of 1982. He served the community as a Bus Driver over 15 years with the MBTA. Victor was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. He was an avid commercial and recreational fisherman. He had a grand love of nature and enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. Above all, he always put family and and helping others first. He had a great sense of humor, and even in a tense situation he could find ways to be clowning around to make people smile or laugh. A family man, Victor enjoyed life and was known for his practical jokes and occasional prank phone calls. He loved food and music, including Johnny Cash and Jim Croce. Victor was recently baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, an achievement of which he was very proud. Victor’s Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Saturday June 23, 2018 at 2 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 40 Marianna St., Lynn, followed by a reception and refreshments announced to those gathered in support of the family. This type of gathering is what Victor would have wanted. In honor of how Victor lived his life, we know he would want us to offer some act of kindness to others without expecting anything in return each and every day.
