Obituary of Beatrice R. (Maria) Eon

Beatrice (Maria) Eon, 85 PEABODY – Beatrice (Maria) Eon, 85, beloved wife of the late Gene Paul Eon, died peacefully on Sunday July 1, 2018 at the Rosewood Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Peabody, following an extended illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Maria-Ruivo and Mary (Couto) Ruivo. She graduated from Peabody High School and was a lifelong resident of the city. Mrs. Eon worked a career she enjoyed with the City of Peabody Public Schools. She was a Bi-Lingual Aide at the Center School, South Memorial School, and the Carroll Schools. Bea was an avid reader, and cherished social gatherings going to lunch with friendships grown from colleagues at work. Her deepest affections and devotion was to family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as a faithfully devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She is survived by two sons and four daughters, Glen Eon of Peabody, Michael Eon and his wife Kerry of Danvers, Deborah McCormack and her husband Daniel of Lynn, Dorene Webb of Haverhill, Jean Cunha and her husband Carlos of Peabody, and Toni Lacorazza and her husband Joe of Litchfield, NH; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a sister Alice Rand of Florida, and many nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Tony Maria, George Maria, Joseph Maria, Michael Maria and Mary Curtis. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for her Funeral Service on Friday July 6, 2018 at 11:30 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
