Obituary of Robert M. Coleman
Robert M. Coleman, 57 PEABODY – Robert M. Coleman, 57, died unexpectedly on Wednesday July 4, 2018, at his home. Born in Danvers, he was the son of the late Matthew and Priscilla (Davis) Coleman. He grew up in Peabody, and graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody, then studied at Westfield State College before enlisting in the United States Army and was trained in Special Forces. Upon his discharge as a Second Lieutenant, he started work with the United States Postal Service. He had a 32-year career as a Letter Carrier in Lynn until retiring last Fall. Bob was an athletic person, and will be remembered as a good friend who would be generous with his time or willingness to help, and appreciated his friends of Flynn Road as well as those in the Lynn Post Office. He is survived by his siblings, Matthew Coleman of Boston, Mary Begley of York, ME, and twins David Coleman of Salisbury and Margaret Robart of Haverhill. He was a father figure to Anthony Hernandez of Lynn; three nephews and a niece, David Robart, Curtis Robart, Brett Robart, and Megan Coleman, and an aunt, cousins and many friends. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Tuesday from 5 – 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A Private Family Funeral Service will be held at another time.
