Obituary of Eleanor Delphine (Insani) Testa

Eleanor D. (Insani) Testa, 85 MALDEN – Eleanor D. (Insani) Testa, 85, of Malden, died peacefully on Tuesday evening July 24, 2018 at the Dexter House in Malden, following an extended illness. Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Andrea “Andrew” and Delphine (Rabini) Insani. She grew up there as the youngest of 10 siblings on the family farm, and graduated from Marlborough High School. Although mostly a homemaker at home, she did work as an Office Clerk with the City of Malden in Voter Registration. She lived in Malden, Everett and Wakefield for many years, and was most passionate about her nurturing role in raising her four children. She liked history, followed politics and talk radio with current affairs, and watching her Soap Operas like General Hospital. She was an animal lover, and was most happy when having family gather at home for the Holidays or weekend meal. She will be remembered for having a strong-willed, independent spirit who enjoyed living her life simply as a home-body. She is survived by two sons and two daughters, John Testa of Peabody, Mary Testa of Danvers, Brenda Mills of Woburn, and Joseph Testa and his wife Melissa of Medford; six grandchildren, Julie Held and her husband Jeremy, Tina Testa, and John Testa, Brook Testa, Aly Testa, and Joey Testa; one great-granddaughter Hayden Held; a brother John Insani, and many nieces and nephews, and she adored her son John’s Beagle dog, Derby. She was the former wife of the late Felix Testa. Following cremation, relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Saturday August 4, 2018 at 11 AM for a Funeral Service in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by urn burial at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
