Obituary of Maria (Costanza) Sullivan

Maria (Costanza) Sullivan, 70, of West Peabody, died Friday at the Salem Hospital ,Salem, Ma. after a long illness. She was the wife of Richard T. Sullivan with whom she shared 42 years of marriage. She was born in Revere on December 26, 1932, the daughter of the late Louis and Catherine (Laraia) Costanza, and had resided there before moving to Peabody 42 years ago. She was a Graduate of Revere High School and Boston University and inturned at Mass General Hospital. She then worked at Mass General Hospital as a Registered Dietician for 8 years. After rearing her daughter, she became a volunteer at Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody and then worked as a business Manager there and later as an assistant Treasurer for 12 years prior to her retirement She was a member of the Phi-Beta Phi Sorority of B.U. and was a member of St. Adelaide’ Altar Society and the former Ladies Sodality. She enjoyed cooking and doing crossword puzzles. Surviving her besides her husband are a daughter, Audrey Sullivan of Peabody, a Brother and Sister-in-law, Joseph and Denice Costanza of Orange, Ca., a Sister and brother-in-law, Marguerita and Daniel Sullivan of Bangor, ME and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’ s Church, Lowell St., West Peabody at 10:00 a.m. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Visiting hours on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
