Obituary of Margaret "Margie" E. (Swanson) Kline

Margaret “Margie” E. (Swanson) Kline, 94 PEABODY – Margaret, “Margie” E. (Swanson) Kline, 94, beloved wife of the late George Kline, died peacefully on Thursday August 2, 2018, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers while in the comforting presence of her family, following an extended illness. Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Signe (Gray) Swanson. She grew up in Danvers, and graduated from Danvers High School. She lived in Peabody over 70 years. Mrs. Kline worked at GTE Sylvania, then as a Bookkeeper in the School Cafeteria Program with the Peabody Public Schools for 22 years. Margie was an active member at St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody, where she was in the St. John’s Sodality. She was also active with the Peabody Golden Agers, the Council on Aging, the Torigian Community Life Center, as well as a loving wife, mother, aunt, sister and friend. She is survived by a son and his wife, Stephen and Donna Kline of Peabody, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her husband, by a son Edward Kline, brother Robert Swanson and sisters Ethel Kerwin and Charolotte Gizicki. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Monday at 9 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 10 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Memorial donations may be made to the Torigian Community Life Center, 75 Central St., Peabody, MA 01960.
