Obituary of Ann P. Gilmore
Ann P. Gilmore, 54 of Peabody, died peacefully Monday morning surrounded by her family at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a courageous battle against cancer. She was the devoted wife of Joseph J. Wojtowicz with whom she shared over 10 years of marriage. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Brian and Rita (Mannion) Gilmore. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody Veteran’s Memorial High School, class of 1982. She continued her education at Emmanuel College and received her bachelor’s degree in 1986. Ann was a social worker for most of her career and for the last 15 years she was an office manager for a Dental office in Cambridge. Ann was a member of several groups including, Meet-Up, North Shore Women’s Club, and Dining Music and More. She enjoyed traveling throughout New England and she especially enjoyed visiting her family in Ireland. She also enjoyed doing board games, video games and going to the movies as well. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her brother, Bernard Gilmore and his husband Hunter Baker of Chelsea and also by many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Following cremation, her visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Funeral services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226.
