Obituary of Winn E. Kelly

Winn E. Kelly, 77, of Peabody died Monday at the NSMC-Salem Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Peabody on May 19, 1941, the son of the late William and Philo (Broughton) Kelly and was a graduate of Peabody Vocational School in 1960. Winn was a machinist and was first employed at the United Shoe Machine Co., Beverly. He then worked at the General Electric River Works plant in Lynn for 40 years prior to his retirement 9 years ago. Winn was an avid sports fan of the Boston Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and the New England Patriots. He had enjoyed going on cruises and visiting his son when he resided in Hawaii. He is survived by his wife, Jeannette (Driscoll) Kelly, a son Joseph Kelly of Peabody, his brothers William and his wife Patricia Kelly and Richard and his wife Barbara Kelly all of Peabody, his sister inlaw Janet Kelly, his god daughter, Devin (Pinto) Hayes of Newmarket, NH, and his other nieces and nephews, Darren, Brian, Kevin, Donna, John, Sheila and Brenda Kelly, Karen Haywood, Shane and Sean Corcoran, Erin Grocki, Arthur Buckley D.M.D, Frances Corcoran, David Pinto ,Jared Pinto, Sharon Rougier,Bonnie Swift, Louise Swentosky Kelly Brennan, Margaret Murphy and Phylo Wahtera; his dear friends, Atty. Leonard Bonfanti, Atty Phil Durgin, Calvin Anderson and George Patz. He was the brother of the late Charles Kelly, Phylo McVann, Elizabeth “Libby” Buckley, Doris Pinto and Jenny Kelly. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 10:00 until 12 Noon at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St. Peabody facility followed by Services there at 12 Noon.
