Obituary of Robert F. Oliver
Robert F. Oliver, 91, of Peabody, died on Thursday August 16 at the Brudnick Center for Living in Peabody following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Rose Oliver with whom he shared over 59 years of marriage. Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Manuel and Hilda (Forsman) Oliver. He was raised and educated in Lynn and upon marrying his wife Rose, he lived in Peabody for the past 59 years. Robert was a veteran of both WWII and the Korean War who served with the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1953. Robert was a commercial artist and was employed with Raytheon before retiring many years ago. He enjoyed painting his own art in both oils and water colors. His favorite endeavor was spending time with his family. Besides his loving wife Rose, he is survived by his two sons, Dean R. Oliver of Salem and Kurt M. Oliver of Peabody. A private family service was held on Tuesday with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Arrangements were made by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody.
