Obituary of Sandra C. (Mozer) Karolides

Sandra C. (Mozer) Karolides 66 years, wife of William Karolides of Peabody, died Friday at the Brigham & Women’ s Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. Mrs. Karolides was born September 5, 1938 daughter of the late Frank and Anne (Mac Neil) Mozer. She was raised and educated in Dedham graduating in 1957 from Dedham High School. In 1958 she moved to Peabody from Dedham. Mrs. Karolides was employed for 20 years in the produce department at Star Market in Swampscott until her retirement in 1997. She enjoyed knitting, cooking and was also a crafter. Mrs. Karolides is survived by 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Cindy K. Blitch of Ashburn VA, Susan K. and Michael Ryan of Dracut; a son and his wife, Thomas J. and Kristen Karolides of Peabody; 2 brothers and their wives of Robert and Lillian Mozer of Medfield, William and Terry Mozer of FL; 2 granddaughters, Danielle and Heather Blitch of VA; a sister-in-law of Mary Maguire of Peabody; a brother-in-law, Paul Karolides of FL and her former son-in-law of John Blitch of CO; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grandnephews. Also survived by her grand pets, Tobey, Mugsy, Teddy and Booty. She was pre deceased by her sister Barbara Kelleher Karolides, Of Peabody formerly of Dedham, Jan. 21, Sandra C. (Mozer) 66 years, wife of William Karolides. Mother and mother-in-law of Cindy K. Blitch of Ashburn VA, Susan K. and Michael Ryan of Dracut, Thomas J. and Kristen Karolides of Peabody; sister and sister-in-law of Robert and Lillian Mozer of Medfield, William and Terry Mozer of FL; grandmother of Danielle and Heather Blitch of VA; sister-in-law of Mary Maguire of Peabody and Paul Karolides of FL and former mother-in-law of John Blitch of CO; aunt & grand aunt to many nieces and nephews. Also survived by her grandpets, Tobey, Mugsy, Teddy and Booty. Pre deceased by her parents Frank and Anne (MacNeil) Mozer and her sister Barbara Kelleher. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody location. Family and friends may pay their respects Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston MA 02115.
