Obituary of Nidal M. Awad

Nidal M. Awad 44 years, beloved husband of Helaneh J. (Awad) Awad of Beverly, died Monday at the Winchester Hospital after being stricken at his place of business in Reading. Mr. Awad was born July 10, 1959 in Damascus Syria son of the late Marzu and Asrie (Farah) Awad. He was raised and educated in Damascus. He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1993 making his home in Hamilton then moving to Beverly in 1995. Mr. Awad was the present owner operator of the Getty Gas Station in Reading. From 1993 to 2000 he had been employed as a manager at Dunkin Donuts in Lynnfield and Reading. In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 daughters, Nibal Awad and Anjel Awad of Beverly; a son Jason Awad of Beverly, a brother and 2 sisters in Damascus Syria and several cousins. His funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody location (978-531-0398) Family and friends are respectfully invited.
