Obituary of Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Lane
Elizabeth Ann “Betsy” Lane, 64, of Danvers, died Wednesday evening August 29, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice house, Danvers with her family at her side after a brief illness. She was born in Peabody, MA on October 4, 1953, the daughter of the late Christopher P. and Irene Germaine (Long) Lane and was raised in Peabody before moving to Danvers. Betsy was a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School in 1971 and pursued a career working with the carpenter,s union in the North Shore area for 15 years when she retired to take care of her parents. She later volunteered as a Van Driver for the Danvers Senior Center for several years and enjoyed taking people to their appointments and destinations. She had a love of animals and enjoyed her many dogs especially her last dog “Gypsy”. She is survived by her siblings, Andrew D. Lane and Stephen J. Lane both of Peabody, her cherished nieces and nephews, Peabody police Sergeant Stephanie C. Lane, Jennifer E. Lane and Andrew M. and his wife Michelle Lane, and her great nieces and nephews, Adriana and Benjamin Lassus and Andrew C. and Adelina Lane all of Peabody and many loving friends including Dave and Linda Mason of Danvers. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral home at the 82 Lynn St, Peabody facility.
