Obituary of Barbara Anne (Turner) Pellizzaro

Barbara Anne (Turner) Pellizzaro, 70, of Peabody died peacefully and surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 8th at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Barbara was the devoted wife of 48 years to Frank J. Pellizzaro. Barbara was born in Peabody, MA on May 12, 1948, the daughter of the late Lawrence F. and Anne (Cushing) Turner and resided in Peabody all her life. She was a graduate of Peabody High School class of 1966 and later received her associate degree in Business Administration from North Shore Community College. Barbara was employed for 27 years as the Accounts Payable Clerk for the City of Peabody School System prior to retiring in 2012. She enjoyed going to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun as well as playing Bingo on Thursdays at the K of C in Lynn. Barbara was a beloved member of the Peabody/Lynn Elks Lodge # 1409 where she and Frank enjoyed spending much of their time. She also loved walking her Browns Pond neighborhood where she lived as a child and later settled down with a family of her own. She enjoyed reading however, what she cherished most was being with and caring for her entire family. Barbara is survived by her husband, Frank Pellizzaro, her two sons and daughters-in-law, Peabody firefighter Michael and Kristan Pellizzaro of Peabody and Mark and Melissa Pellizzaro of Middleton, her brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Rosalie Turner of the Philippines, her two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and John Vietri of Peabody and Joan and Robert Melvin of Port Richie, FL As well as her four grandchildren, Hannah, Julia, Sarah and Madison Pellizzaro; a brother-in-law, Richard Pellizzaro of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister-in-law of the late Marcela Pellizzaro Valliere. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St., John the Baptist Church, Peabody at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery Peabody.
