Obituary of Patricia Anne (Walsh) Moulton

Patricia (Pat) Moulton, a resident of Wilmington, MA and formerly of Peabody and Salem, MA, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Sawtelle Family Hospice House, Reading, MA after a brief illness. Pat was born in Peabody on November 30, 1940, to the late M. Joseph and Ruth E. (McLeod) Walsh. She was a graduate of Peabody High School in 1958. During her high school years, Pat was employed by the Paramount Theater in Salem, which gave her the opportunity to spend many hours watching films when the concessions stand was closed. Throughout her life, she continued to share her enjoyment of films with her brother, children and especially her grandchildren. Following high school, Pat was employed by William Filene Sons Company at the North Shore Mall for several years, Verizon, the Jewish Community Center in Swampscott and the Hawthorne Hotel. In 1975, she joined the staff of Salem Hospital and retired as a computer operator in the laboratory in 2015 after 40 years of service. What brought Pat the most joy were her family celebrations on Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays. She loved being surrounded by her daughters, their husbands, and all the grandchildren. Every Thanksgiving her family would spend several days at a New England resort; Pat’s favorite was the Samoset Resort in Rockland, Me. Her Christmas Eve buffet was a special treat for the family and friends who attended to enjoy the yuletide spirit. Pat is survived by her daughters, Toni M. (Moulton) Carmody and her husband Mark of Amesbury, and Tina E. (Moulton) Kinsella and her husband James of Wilmington. Her grandchildren include Shayne, Kaitlin and Ryan Kinsella and Declan, COnor, Skylyn and Sara Carmody. Pat is also survived by her sister, Mary E. (Walsh) Parry and her husband James of Groveland as well as a niece, several nephews, many grand nieces and nephews and one great grandniece. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Michael J. Walsh. Her family is grateful to Dr. Kristin O’Neil for the care and compassion she provided to their mother throughout the years. Pat was a gentle, caring woman who believed in the goodness of people and will be missed by all her knew her. In Accordance with Pat’s wishes, funeral arrangements are private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Sawtelle Family Hospice, 320 Haverhill St., Reading, MA 01867 in her memory.
