Obituary of Suzanne M (Bedard) Cody

Suzanne M. (Bedard) Cody, 66 PEABODY – Suzanne M. (Bedard) Cody, 66, beloved wife of Walter Cody, died unexpectedly on Thursday October 4, 2018 at the Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital in Boston, following a brief illness. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Doris (Demers) Bedard. She grew up in Salem and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School. She lived in Peabody, Danvers and Beverly before moving to Chelmsford recently. She worked as a cashier with Market Basket in Danvers and later was a Supervisor/Manager with T.J. Maxx in Peabody. Suzanne enjoyed being outdoors in the sun, going to Bingo at Bishop Fenwick, and reading the Sunday paper. She cherished her role as a loving “Gramma”, and be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband Walter Cody of Chelmsford, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage; a daughter and son-in-law, Kerrie and Chris Jackson of Chelmsford; two grandchildren, Connor and Keira Jackson of Chelmsford; a brother Kenneth Bedard of Salem, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for her Funeral Service on Thursday October 11, 2018 at 11 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 7 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
