Obituary of Fannie "Frances" Louise Kravchuk

Fannie “Frances” Louise. (Stocker) Kravchuk age 92, died on October 5, at her home in Peabody surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife, sharing 63 years in marriage to the late Michael “Maxie” F. Kravchuk. Fannie was born in Swampscott, Massachusetts on December 1, 1925, the daughter of the late Richard Theodore Stocker and Agnes (Moulton) Stocker and daughter in law of the late Feodor P. and Mary (Yefinchuk) Kravchuk. From the age of 3, Fannie was raised and was a lifelong resident of Peabody, graduating from Peabody High School in 1943, and was a war bride marrying “Maxie” on June 4th, 1944. She raised a family of 10 children, Francine (the late James) Keenan, Linda and Paul Labrecque, Lincoln Maine, Michael and Donna (Clifford) Kravchuk of Peabody/China, Stephen and Bonnie (Mello) Kravchuk, of Middleton, Gary and the late Nina Roltsch, Karl and Mary Lou (McGee) Kravchuk, of Groveland, Toni and Michael Cassidy, of Bradford/Peabody, Susan and Daniel McClory of Middleton, Michele and Anthony Kolodziej of Peabody. She is survived by her brother Theodore “Ted” Stocker, Peabody, sister in law Anna (Kravchuk) late Bennie Campagnolo of Beverly Farms, brothers and sisters in law Leo and Angela (Regis) Kravchuk of Danvers, Alex and Maureen (Callahan) Kravchuk of Newburyport. Preceding her in death were daughters Tina Kravchuk, Nina (Kravchuk) Roltsch, son in law James M. Keenan, a brother James Stocker of San Carlos, California brothers Peter Kravchuk of Peabody, Anthony and his wife (Ethelyne) "Chick") Kravchuk of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and the late Isabell (Theodore) Stocker. Fannie was devoted to her family, enjoying her days with the family at “The Farm” in Tamworth NH, taking trips all over the country with her family, traveling the world and winter trips to Florida with “Max”. She enjoyed spending her time traveling all over the country to watch her children, 26 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren playing in tournaments and various sports. She was their biggest fan. She loved to take pictures of her travels and family and enjoyed social gatherings with family, neighbors and friends. She volunteered for many years in the office of the Kiley Brothers Memorial School, the American Red Cross, worked for many years at the Pathway/Bonkers CVS, and as the warden at the Ward 5 Precinct 2 elections poll. She was an original member of the old Cy Tenney group, grew up a member of the West Congregational Church, and enjoyed the bowling leagues at the Metro Bowl. Fannie was especially fond of her care givers Yajaira and Leidy Romero who became her adopted daughters over the recent years. Visiting hours will be held at Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. Peabody on Friday October 12 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Her funeral services will be held on Saturday October 13 at 11:00 a.m. in the West Congregational Church, 27 Johnson St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
