Obituary of Rosalie L. Wiswall

Rosalie L (Amico) Wiswall, 88, of Peabody, died early Wednesday morning at the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center in Medford following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Laurence Wiswall. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Rose (Gemma) Amico. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School, class of 1948. Upon marrying her husband, she moved to Peabody where she has lived for over 56 years. Rosalie was employed with the Town Line Restaurant for over 30 years as waitress, hostess and retired as a manager before the closing of the restaurant. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, playing cards and going to Foxwood Casino, but her favorite endeavor was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and sharing in all of their activities. Rosalie is survived by her two daughters, Diane and her husband Jim Salvato of Wakefield, Kathleen Shea of FL, her brother, Michael Amico of FL, her son-in-law, Robert Sweeney of Salem, her seven grandchildren, Jason and Jessica Bourque, Patrick, Matthew, and Kelly Sweeney, and Frank and Michael Salvato, and is also survived by 3 great granddaughters, 2 nephews, Scott and David Amico and by several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Laureen Wiswall Sweeney, her brother Salvatore Amico, and by her son-in-law Brian Shea. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday from 9:30 am until 11:30 AM followed by her Funeral Service at 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn.
