We are heartbroken to learn of the loss of our dear friend Donn. He meant the world to our family, since he began lessons with our son Gabe when he was just 4. We will remember his kindness, patience and pride in watching his students' musical progress. We will remember our wonderful times at the Monday night Jazz Shows where for years he generously featured Gabe as guest soloist. We will always cherish the recording session he arranged for Gabe to perform, and his wonderful introduction on the CD. At age 17, Gabe still plays Donn's drum kit that he generously presented to him at his bar mitzvah. There will always be a place for Donn in our hearts and we will remember him as a beautiful man and an inspiring mentor who gave thousands the greatest gift of all...the joy of music.
