Raymond F. Beaupre, age 79, beloved husband of Elaine (Lobao) Beaupre, born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late Jules and Marguerite (St. Pierre) Beaupre. Ray graduated from St. Mary’s in Lynn in 1956 and attended Merrimac College. A lifelong resident of the city of Salem, Mr. Beaupre owned and operated Ray Beaupre Contracting for 50 years. He was very proud of the quality of his work and did many homes in his beloved Salem. Ray earned a well-deserved reputation and awards for the high quality of his work. Ray was so proud of his city. Nothing would make Ray happier than showing out of town visitors the city starting with the home where he was raised, which was located in the old Almys’ parking lot, to the beautiful architecture and the many changes to the city through the years. Being raised right in the center of town, Ray knew every nook and cranny of the city. A devoted family man, he was a proud father, grandfather and brother. Ray was a loving father who devoted his life to creating a home for his family and enjoyed the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor and was well known for his ever-present smile. He also served in the Massachusetts National Guard from 1960 until 1965. Besides his wife of 53 years, Ray leaves his son Darrin and his wife Hilda, his son Dennis and his wife Chrys, along with his precious grandchildren, Derek, Danielle, Drew and Brooke.
