Obituary of William R Mullinax

William R Mullinax. 85, of Peabody, beloved husband of Carol E (Fiacre) Mullinax, with whom he shared over 28 years of marriage with, died unexpectedly on Monday morning at his home. Born in Lavonia, Georgia, he was the loving son of the late Samuel Lloyd and Ila Gertrude (Gibson) Mullinax. He was raised and educated in Greenville, SC, later enlisted with the United States Army and lived in Shrewsbury and Stoneham before moving to Peabody where he has lived for the past 18 years. Bill was a proprietor of a Bindery Company which he owned for the past 25 years. While living in Shrewsbury, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was a Grand Knight. He enjoyed playing bridge and tennis and loved tending to his yard and home and keeping in pristine shape. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his beloved daughter, Lynn Ripley of Kansas City, MO, his step-son, David Parry of North Reading, his sisters Betty Josine Cantrell and Martha F Hawk, both of Greer, SC, and is also survived by his 3 grandchildren, Shauna Alexander, Brian Ripley, and Kelly Steeley, five great grandchildren and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Erwin Thomas, Samuel Robert, James Andrew, and Paul Ray Mullinax. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 127 Summer St, Lynnfield, MA 01940 followed his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the Church to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
