Obituary of John J. Kennedy
John J. Kennedy, 65 PEABODY – John J. Kennedy passed peacefully surrounded by his family in Beverly Hospital on Thursday October 18, 2018, following a brief illness. He was 65. John was born on March 21, 1953 in Salem to Margaret A. (Angelico) Kennedy and the late Robert H. Kennedy. He is survived by his two daughters, Colleen M. Kennedy of Lynn and Elizabeth A. Kennedy of Beverly, and his grandson Jacob A. Dembowski of Lynn, his mother Margaret A. Kennedy of Peabody, a brother Robert M. Kennedy and his wife Lisa, and their two sons of Billerica, a sister Barbara A. Freeman and her husband Dennis, and their two daughters of Billerica, his brother David P. Kennedy and his wife Lauren and their four children of Marblehead, and also by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his father Robert H. Kennedy who lived in Peabody. John is a 1971 graduate of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, and was a 20-year employee of Raytheon Company in Andover in the Inventory Control Department. For the past 20 years John has been a resident of his hometown, Peabody, where he lived a simple life. John loved fishing and boating and was an avid fan of his beloved Boston sports teams. Through many personal hardships and illnesses, John continued to be a devoted son, brother and friend to many. He was quick with a smile and a word of encouragement , and he will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. A Private Memorial Service will be held on October 24th at 10 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by cremation.
