Obituary of Anna J. (Creasey) Smith
Anna J. (Creasey) Smith 82 years, wife of Lockhart J. Smith Jr. of Saugus, died Monday morning at her home after a brief illness.
Mrs. Smith was born on June 6, 1921 in City Point Maine daughter of the late Roby A. and Anna (Segrist) Creasey. She was raised and educated in Maine. She then moved to the Boston area at a young age and resided in Melrose before moving to Saugus in 1953.
Mrs. Smith was employed for several years as a shoe salesperson at the former Jordan Marsh in Boston prior to her retirement in 1950 to raise her family. She enjoyed drawing, hooking and traveling.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter and her husband, Pamela S. and Richard Faraci of Rowley; a son, Dennis K. Smith of Saugus; a brother Roby Creasey of Liberty ME; 2 sisters, Dorothea Vigant of East Providence RI and Louise Lou Keister of Washington, DC; 3 grandchildren Christine A. Taylor of Nashua NH, Andrew R. and William C. Faraci of Rowley; 2 great grandchildren, Rachael E. Beauchemin and Drake C. Taylor of Nashua NH and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Lockhart J. Smith III and sister of the late Ruby Swanson, Helen Cook and Willamena Lindberg.
Her funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody location (978.531.0472). Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Marshfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham MA 01701.
