Obituary of Regis Irene (Tudal) Hersey

Regis I. (Tudal) Hersey, 75, of Nashua, NH and formerly of Peabody, MA, died early Thursday morning, November 15, 2018 at Bridges by EPOCH in Nashua, NH with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Kenneth E. Hersey Sr. who died in 2006. She was born in Melrose, MA on January 9, 1943, to the late Yves and Adelaide (O’Brian) Tudal and was raised and educated in Saugus, MA. She resided in Peabody for many years while employed at the Essex County Bank as a teller. Regis loved watching sports, including hockey and NASCAR, in addition to learning especially about space. She attended North Shore Community College, receiving an Associate’s degree in Computer Science. In 1983, she and her family moved to Wilmington, NC. In North Carolina, she was employed at First Citizens Bank and later as an accounting assistant at The Bridge Tender Restaurant before her retirement. She returned north to Nashua, NH in 2009. She is survived by daughter, Dawn Hersey of Nashua, NH; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth E. and Kathy Hersey Jr. of Clarksville, MD; and two grandsons, Kenneth C. Hersey and Teddy Hersey both of Maryland. A visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018 from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM from the funeral home followed by a funeral mass in St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St., West Peabody at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472 in her memory.
