Obituary of Frank J Graczyk

Frank J. Graczyk, age 74, passed away after a brief battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betty” (Brennan) Graczyk. He was the devoted father of Christine Maguire and her husband Jeff, and cherished grandfather of Joseph and Patrick Maguire. Born and raised in Chelsea, he was the son of the late Genevieve (Mydlarz) Graczyk and Henry Graczyk. Dear brother of Barbara Meza and the late Dick Meza of NH, Henry Graczyk and his wife Fran, the late Stanley Graczyk and his wife Terri, all of Peabody, the late Kenneth Graczyk and his wife Barbara of Stoneham, and Patrick Graczyk of NH. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Frank worked for Robie Properties for over 25 years in the building maintenance department. He also worked for other real estate properties in Boston and Cambridge. He was a master locksmith and a United States Army Veteran. Frank enjoyed wintering in Florida, and he also enjoyed fishing with his grandsons, gardening, and trips to Foxwoods and Twin Rivers Casino with the boys. Frank was a great cook and loved cooking for his family. Frank was a devoted family man, who kept them smiling with his fantastic sense of humor. He appreciated a good joke and always felt laughter was the best medicine. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM followed by his Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to either the Salvation Army, 93 North St, Salem, MA 01970, Haven from Hunger, 71 Wallis St, Peabody or to Progeria Research Foundation, 200 Lake St, Suite 102, Peabody, MA 01960. Burial services will be private.
