Obituary of Fotene "Faye" Mouzithras

Fotene “Faye” (Theophilopoulos) Mouzithras of Salem, beloved wife of the late Spiro Mouzithras, died on November 19, 2018 at the age of 81 at North Shore Medical Center in Salem, surrounded by her loving son and granddaughters. Born on April 10, 1937 in Ipswich, MA, she was the daughter of the late Panayiota (Georgelas) and Athanasios “Arthur” Theophilopoulos of Salem. Faye was extremely creative and graduated from Rittners School of Floral Design in Boston. Prior to raising her son, she was employed by Maguire’s Flowers in Peabody. Faye truly enjoyed creating beautiful floral designs for many years. Faye traveled to Greece with her late husband Spiro for their honeymoon and often reminisced about that wonderful trip and she cherished their 35 years of marriage. Faye was the beloved mother of Charles Thomaidis of Salem, MA and beloved grandmother of Maria (Thomaidis) Cameron and Robert Cameron of Lynn, MA and Cassandra (Thomaidis) DiOrio and Joseph DiOrio of Beverly. She was also the beloved great-grandmother of Olivia and Ashton Cameron of Lynn and Joey DiOrio of Beverly. Faye is also survived by her loving siblings Heidi and her husband Steve Polemenakos of Marblehead, John Theo, Sr. and his wife Mary of West Peabody and Perry Theophilopoulos and his wife Tasia of Salem. She was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Faye was a proud member of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church and the Philoptochos Society of Peabody. She was also a member of the Mani Society and the Logganiko Society. She was predeceased by her brother Peter Theo and his wife Ann of Swampscott and sister-in-law Christine Theo of Danvers. There will be no visiting hours. A private family funeral service will be held on Monday at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody. Private burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody, Arrangements were made by the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody.
