Obituary of Elizabeth A. (Gallant) Pastorello
Elizabeth A. (Gallant) Pastorello, 86 BELMONT – Elizabeth A. (Gallant) Pastorello, 86, beloved wife of the late Dr. Richard Pastorello, died peacefully on Sunday evening November 18, 2018 at her home in Auburn, Alabama. The daughter of the late Frederick and Lillian (James) Gallant, she grew up in Malden, and after graduating from Boston University with a degree in Education, she taught Elementary School. Elizabeth raised her family mostly in Belmont where she lived for over 30 years. When her children were grown, she took over the administration of her husband’s Medical office, which was affiliated with Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. Although her teaching career was brief, Elizabeth always thought of herself as a teacher, and was proud to have an influence with many young girls, volunteering with the Girl Scouts. Always welcoming family and friends into her home, she became a second mom to all her children’s friends. She also had a sense of adventure, whether planning road trips across the country or establishing a family ritual of driving to Walt Disney World in Florida. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, providing the support for each of her family to create their unique lifestyle in happiness for all their endeavors. She is survived by her five children Dr. Richard Pastorello and his wife Roberta of MA, Douglas Pastorello and his wife Donna of NH, Robert Pastorello of AL, Maria Fattahi and her husband Robert of CT, and Linda Pastorello of AL; seven grandchildren, Jason Pastorello of MA, Mark Pastorello and his wife Amber of NH, Dr. Christina Pastorello and her husband Jose Vazquez of MA, John Pastorello of MA, Adam Pastorello of MA, Melissa Kerle and her husband Henry of MA, and Christopher Fattahi of CT; two great-grandchildren, Kolten James Pastorello and Renata Elena Vazquez, and several nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Roy Pastorello and grandmother of the late Daniel Fattahi. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a Funeral Service honoring her life on Saturday December 1, 2018 at 11 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A visitation will be held on Friday from 5 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn memorial Park, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association of MA, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452 or to New England Hemophilia Association, 347 Washington St., # 401, Dedham, MA 02026.
