Obituary of John E Aradas

John E, Aradas, 89, of Peabody, died Thursday morning at the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of the late Adamandia (Kareklas) Aradas. Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Efstratios J. and Barbara (Kanaracus) Aradas. He was raised and educated in Peabody and later lived in North Easton and has spent the last year in Beverly. John received his undergraduate degree from the New England Conservatory of Music and later received his Master’s Degree in Education from Salem State College. John was a music teacher for many years in North Easton for the State of Massachusetts. He taught all grades at the school and also taught GED classes at night as well. He was a private piano teacher for many years and while living in Florida, he taught English classes as well. John was a long-time member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Church in Ipswich for over 30 years and served as choir director for 20 of those years. John is survived by his son, Strati Aradas of North Easton, his daughter Maria Aradas of Upton, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Steven Aradas and his two sisters, Elizabeth Pappas and Anastasia Pappas. His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Church, 8 Lafayette Rd, Ipswich, MA. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, 100 R Cedar Grove Ave, Peabody.
