Obituary of Gertrude Golden

Gertrude (Parow) Golden, 93, of Lynn, died early Saturday morning at Her residence following a short illness. She was the wife of the late Hugh Golden. Born in East Boston on August 11, 1908, she was the daughter of the late John and Ellen (Kerrigan) Parow, she had resided in Everett for many years and later in Peabody for 50 years before moving to Lynn a year ago. She was a homemaker at home and enjoyed being with her family. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Frances and William Pacillo of Lynn; 3 grandchildren, Frances Clements and Kelly Gates both of Lynn and Susan Matthews of Wyndham, N.H., 3 great grandchildren, Derek and Candice Matthews and Shawn Gates and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alice Brazel and Doris Zachko. Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. from the Conway facility at 12 Chestnut St., Peabody of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Pius Church Lynn at 9:00 a.m. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Lynn.
